The 2026 WKC World Championships Are Underway in Chiclana

The 2026 WKC World Championships are officially underway. Athletes from across the Americas, Europe and beyond have arrived in Chiclana, Cádiz, Spain, and competition is running at Pabellón Ciudad de Chiclana through October 30.

Congratulations to every athlete

To every competitor stepping onto the tatami this week: congratulations. Earning a place at the World Championships takes years of training, early mornings, long trips to tournaments and the support of the coaches, families and clubs behind you. Whether you leave Spain with a world title or with lessons for next year, you have already represented your country and your school at the highest level of WKC competition.

Our thanks also go to the coaches, referees, officials, volunteers and families who make a championship of this size possible, and to our hosts in Chiclana.
